Hi and thanks for the post. I am not really good at computers but despite I know this as a fact I wanted to install iatkos in my Asus g53sw. I installed and it work for a while with some errors, then I formatted to try to re install it again and I can't do it. And I can't install windows either. I am running ubuntu at the moment. The problem I have found is that in my bios the "launch efi shell device" is not found. Do you know how to fix it? I don't know why but I think that this problem is linked to my inability of installing windows or mac. Thanks a lot

I know this post its a bit old, ant I believe many people would use it and not comment, but...
I wanted to say thank you, this is very helpfull. You put time and effort into it and I apreciate that.
Im sure more people like me used the info in your post but they didnt mention anything lazy B*st*rds ^_^.

sounds like an issue with secure boot or something to do with a trusted platform module. I would reset the module in the bios if you can.

I have a toshiba laptop with EFI Bios H2 stuck on a password request cannot get any further than thank. The original owner does not know the password any ideas on what I can do my self to get pass this. I have been trying to read all I can about this new bios software I'm new to. Thought this might be a place to ask. Thanks

yes. i created 100 mb for efi partition as default sugested from windows installer

Lets start with the simple. Did you create a 100 meg efi partition on your main drive?

hi, i have eeepc 1215b and e450 with 2gb ram, try to install windows 7 in efi boot mode. in installing process, specificly when extending file process, my system cannto countinue and got BSOD stop x00000001e. any soluton for this?thank's for any sugestions
